  • Spending his formative years in cosmopolitan cities (Cairo, Dubai, London, D.C.) formed Hosam’s unique approach toward inclusive and diverse design. As a former lead designer in international design firms like CALLISON / RTKL, DAR AL HANDASAH, HNTB, and former partner and Design Director of Hoefer Wysocki, Hosam has led projects varying in size from small renovations to $100 million new construction, with the same passion: to create spaces that foster discovery, creativity, and exciting experiences. His 25-year career has included most building types including healthcare, higher education, headquarters, and mixed-use. He has 15 years of in-depth experience with the VA healthcare facilities design and completed over 2 million square feet of VA clinics and hospitals across the country. Hosam is a member of the American Institute of Architects and a licensed architect in multiple states.

  • Andrea received her architectural training from CVUT Faculty of Architecture, Prague - Czech Republic. It provided Andrea with a broad base for not only architecture but general design and art sense. Andrea’s designs are highly creative and functional, yet playful and poetic. She is an award-winning designer who excels at initial conceptual design development, graphic presentation, and branding implementation. Her areas of expertise include identifying, defining, and listening to clients’ needs; encouraging and strengthening the client’s branding efforts, achieving sophisticated looks within available means, and quick visual communication skills.

Brendan Nelson, AIA

  • Brendan’s diverse professional experience has afforded him the privilege to lead the design and planning of healthcare facilities for the US Department of Veterans Affairs across the country. This opportunity has led to an appreciation and deep understanding of patient-centered care, while creating functional and efficient staff spaces. He enjoys the challenge of connecting patients, staff, and community together by providing an inviting, healing environment, inspiring work atmosphere, and a deep connection to nature. His design philosophy focuses on creating unique solutions to unique challenges. Regardless of the size, budget, or the type of project there is one goal: design to improve the way people heal and work.

    Brendan will serve as a day-to-day manager of the project and day-to-day point of contact between the AE team and the construction team. He will also be tracking changes and change orders and any changes in project from the DID all the way to the project completion.
