DAU is the acronym for the three core activities of our practice:
Design + Architecture + Urbanism
We are a multinational small design studio located in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri. Our studio provides well-crafted design concepts for various market sectors, including healthcare, education, public buildings, commercial interiors, and mixed-use.
DAU was founded by a team of experienced architects and designers led by Hosam Habib, AIA; they have a combined 100 years of experience in global design firms and a wealth of experience in multiple building types.
Our experienced team offers the talent and cutting-edge solutions that large design firms offer but in a small, friendly studio environment.
Philosophy
We built the practice on the core idea that good design must be accessible, available, and affordable to all segments of our society and not only the privileged. This core idea is part of our commitment to equity and diversity of design. We believe in one-on-one communication with our clients to listen to their needs and identify meaningful solutions that provide tangible values for individuals as well as the community.
In our studio, Design is the core of what we do. A good design is an inclusive process that encompasses sustainable, value-driven aesthetics that elevate the human experience.
